Cetus Finalis Giveaway

Image by Lucie Hall (Linoleuim block print)Yes! Yes! Yes! Welcome to September, and happy whale reading! Cetus Finalis: A Gray Whale Odyssey is available NOW in paperback and Kindle formats!

Let’s kick off the online release of Cetus Finalis with a good old-fashioned giveaway. This week I am giving away dual-autographed copies of Cetus Finalis: A Gray Whale Odyssey. Your winner’s copy will feature an inscription from both the author (Suhail Rafidi) and the cover artist (Lucie Hall).

Tell a tale! Win a book!

Entry into this contest is going to cost you one story. In the comments below, post one original story about a whale. It can be a personal experience, an anecdote, a fairy tale, even a good joke, but it must be an original story. It can be as long or as short as you like, but stick to a size suitable to an internet post, rather than a notebook; say under 1,000 words.

Deadline is September 21st, so we can get this thing judged before the book launch! The three best stories will be selected by myself and two other literary judges (author David Gill and editor Ryan Hurtgen). Four prizes will be awarded (if there are at least four entrants, HA!) The two grand prizes will be spanking new, sleek and sexy, dual-autographed copies of Cetus Finalis: A Gray Whale Odyssey. Runners up will win a personalized, signed copy of one of my previous books (your choice), TJ & Tosc or The Collected Works of William “Chili Bill” Eichinger. Winners will be contacted for a shipping address when judging is complete.

Whale bards, have at it! See you next week. Write on!
