Don’t Think…Twink!

Current mood:  full

sometimes my own past feels like an unbearable weight.  it would be nice if today was the only day i’d ever lived.  such a beautiful day.  i want old journals to disappear but i don’t have the heart to destroy them.  i cherish the lessons of the past.  the elating and heart rending images.  but, oh, when i sit in the sun and sing out loud, when it’s today now – i love this kind of happy most.  i understand what it feels like to be wounded by the lances of my nostalgia.  nostalgia is feeling sad about happy memories.  what use is it, really?  what about feeling happy about sad memories?  argh.

We must forget as much as we remember.
