Cybernia

i traffic in elemental pulsations, twinkling lights, thrumming beats.  i am woven into them.  there is a fabric or organic and mechanical existence that i am harmoniously woven into, a tapestry that i am just beginning to see.  this is my time.  this is the future.  this is my humanity.  there is love, longing, realization, blinking signals.  hands cupped together filled with illusion and i splash my face.

defamiliarization.  i lie on the floor in places i’ve never lain on the floor before.  it is still my apartment, but i’ve never seen it before.  we spend our lives trying to pass ideas on to each other.  sometimes it works.  how fulfilling, how divine.

a tiny electronic device resides in my room, in my pocket, that is linked to a satellite in space – in a geosynchronous orbit 23,000 miles above the earth – that speaks to the whole world.  THE WHOLE WORLD.  i will understand.
